Personal introduction

My name is Luqman Gymkhana Hilal, a Tanzanian technology enthusiast, multimedia producer, digital creative, entrepreneur, and community development advocate with a strong passion for innovation, youth empowerment, and social transformation.

I am a person driven by the desire to use knowledge, creativity, technology, and leadership to create meaningful opportunities for people, particularly vulnerable children and young people who may lack access to the resources necessary to fulfil their potential.

Educational background

My educational background includes studies in South Africa, forming part of my personal development and educational journey.

I attended Kidanjari School for my primary education and later studied at Sacred Heart College.

My educational journey has contributed to my interest in learning, personal growth, technology, creativity, and the development of practical solutions to real-world challenges.

Beyond formal education, I value continuous learning and the ability to acquire new knowledge through practice, independent exploration, and engagement with emerging technologies.

Where I studied

  • Studies in South AfricaPart of my personal development and educational journey.

In today's rapidly changing world, I believe that education must go beyond traditional academic knowledge.

Young people also need practical abilities, digital literacy, creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and the confidence to adapt to new opportunities.

  • Problem-solving skills
  • Confidence to adapt

This belief is one of the reasons I am passionate about introducing practical and technology-based learning opportunities to children and young people through community initiatives. See The Impact Crew TZ

The Impact Crew TZ

This philosophy influences both my professional ambitions and my commitment to social impact.

I am the founder of The Impact Crew TZ, an independent youth-led CBO in Tanzania that equips orphaned children and young people in vulnerable circumstances with practical skills — sewing and tailoring, batik, knitting and other trades — so that they can provide for themselves with dignity.

About The Impact Crew TZ

Rotaract Club Alpha and Rotary community service

Service-oriented networks and the values they build — leadership, fellowship and projects that improve communities.

My involvement in the Rotary service community is another part of my interest in leadership and community development. I have identified myself as a member of Rotaract Club Alpha and have also stated an association with Rotary.

Rotaract is a global network that provides opportunities for members to develop leadership and professional skills, build meaningful connections, and participate in community service.

Rotary International and its clubs support humanitarian service, ethical leadership, fellowship, and projects intended to improve communities.

These values are closely connected to my interest in community development and youth empowerment.

Through service-oriented networks, I value the opportunity to learn from others, exchange ideas, develop partnerships, and contribute to initiatives that address social challenges.

My interest in service reflects the belief that lasting change is strengthened when individuals and organizations work together, share resources, and combine their abilities towards common goals.

My exact membership status, club roles, and service achievements can be added here once confirmed.

My interests and professional activities

Alongside these interests, I am committed to community service and initiatives that seek to address social challenges through practical and sustainable solutions.

Information technology

A foundation of interest and professional activity — using technology practically to solve problems and open doors.

Website development

Building websites that present people, products and organisations to the world.

Graphic design

Visual communication — identity, layout and imagery that make work recognizable.

Animation

Bringing stories and ideas to life through movement and sequenced visuals.

Cartoon creation

Drawing original characters and cartoon artwork as a creative and educational medium.

Video editing

Shaping recorded footage into finished films that inform, promote and inspire.

Multimedia production

Combining design, animation, audio and video into complete multimedia productions.

Digital innovation

Exploring new digital tools and approaches, and applying them where they create real value.

What I believe

Talent plus support

Talent becomes more powerful when it is supported by knowledge, discipline, access to tools, and opportunities to grow.

A fair chance for every young person

Every young person deserves the chance to discover their abilities, develop valuable skills, and build a future defined by opportunity rather than circumstance.

Combining strengths for impact

Technology, creativity, entrepreneurship, and community engagement combined to contribute to a more innovative, inclusive, and opportunity-driven society.

For me, success is not measured solely by personal achievement. It is also measured by the positive contribution one makes to the lives of others and the opportunities one helps create for the next generation.
